Step 6: Complete the Onboarding Forms in the My AmeriCorps Portal
In order to receive your living allowance, you will need to complete the following onboarding forms in the My AmeriCorps Portal at https://my.americorps.gov/mp/login.do. After logging into the portal, select “My Living Allowance” from the left-hand menu.

Under this section, you will be able to complete the following:

Federal Tax Withholding (W-4)

Unpaid Compensation Information

If you need help filling out the form, go to www.irs.gov.
Unpaid Compensation Information
If you do not know the ZIP+4 extension, enter "1111" and the system will suggest the correct extension.
You will also need to select your end of service benefit. Log into the My AmeriCorps Portal at https://my.americorps.gov/mp/login.do and select “End of Service Benefit Selection” from the left-hand menu. Under this section, you will be able to choose between the education award ($6,495) and the cash stipend ($1,800). Please note you can switch from the education award to the cash stipend before the end of your 10th month of service; but you cannot switch from the cash stipend to the education award.
