Step 9: Complete the Early-Service Coursework on VISTA Campus

Friendly reminder that in the VISTA Campus, under your "VISTA Member Orientation" courses, there is a set of "Recommended" Early Service coursework.  Don't forget to complete this series of workshops; as they are specially designed to orient you to some important AmeriCorps service principles.  These courses should be completed during the first two weeks of service.

Follow the instructions under "Recommended Early-Service Coursework." There are 6 required courses, which vary in duration from 5 minutes to 2 hours:

  • VISTA Assignment Description Worksheet

  • Creating a Community Profile

  • The Minute Intro

  • Learn About the Theory of Change

  • How Poverty is Measured in the United States

  • Thirteen Lessons About Poverty
